TRIP GRADINGSAll Club trips are to be graded using one of the following: Social – No 4 Wheel Driving. No requirement to have completed Club 4WD driver training. Scenic – No planned 4 Wheel Driving however, 4WD High Range may be required to negotiate slippery formed roads. No requirement to have completed Club 4WD driver training. Easy – Planned 4 Wheel Driving, 4WD High Range and possibly 4WD Low Range, will be required to negotiate a moderate range of varying terrains. Drivers must have completed the Clubs' driver training/awareness course or an accepted equivalent. Medium – Planned 4 Wheel Driving, both 4WD High and Low Range will be required to negotiate steep inclines (up and down), sloping terrain, various ground surfaces, axle deep water crossings and the possibility of recovery using a snatch strap. Drivers must have completed the Clubs' driver training/awareness course or an accepted equivalent. Hard - Planned 4 Wheel Driving, both 4WD High and Low Range will be required to negotiate very steep inclines (up and down), sloping terrain, various ground surfaces, above axle deep water crossings and most probably conduct recoveries using a snatch strap. Drivers must have completed the Clubs' driver training/awareness course or an accepted equivalent. Note 1. These trip ratings are derived from the Outdoor Sports and Recreation Competency Standards that underpin our current Basic Four Wheel Driving competency based training. |
